Apparently the tranny who founded Sirius was a huge O&A pest originally, but XM gave them a better deal despite not really wanting them because XM needed names. XM used star power to build their brand, which SiriusXM later took to a ridiculous and tone deaf extreme. XM supported O&A simulcasting on FM, which was when they were at their most energetic and contest driven. But half you motherfuckers hated those contests anyway. Half of you don't even like "I Swo The Soyn" which is an all timer, or stuff like Cat Scream Chooseday. If you didn't like the stupid contests and bits of the XM days then why would you fault them for not trying to do any towards the end of the show?

SiriusXM gave them no money for any promotional stunts. No contests, no events, not even a blessing or permission to do most stuff. They lost the FreeFM deal because the 'new' formula just wasn't working. The contests weren't that compelling. As a result, O&A both became totally different people who got used to preaching to their own choir and that made them start to do and admit to doing very odd things to people, dude. The only thing The DMAN will not excuse is Anthony stopped doing bits. They should have kept going, they tried to be too meta to the point that they seemed self-consious actually performing... The few times they did stuff like this (Anthony doing the 3 Stooges during Joe Paterno -- or The Wheeling of the Chair ceremony to open the show that one time.) That shit was funny as hell.

They promoted random people to run their channel; and put people like Tim Sabean in place to sabotage the show and make it a "media destination" with no cameras that never has any live media events or any presence whatsoever outside of a closet studio. They stifled O&A - made their talents obsolete by banning anything where they shined, and deliberately emphasized them at their worst -- celebrity interviews playing fake good guys going along with a boring interview that nobody will ever see anyway. They bled the brand dry for a few years until Aintfunny gave them their out. And that's not even getting into the absurd "power dynamic" that Stupid Norton and Aintfunny created in their own minds against Opie who was just that naturally confident to voice his displeasure about poor treatment. When you generate millions of dollars and a shitload of views for a company that doesn't give you dogshit in return and barely acknowledges your existence, you need to have the emotional intelligence to be furious or you're just a spineless little CUNT like Aintfunny and Stupid Norton who both wouldn't even look at Opie while they texted each other about him silently with him in the room.
