Nancy Drew was definitely just for girls. We would give the gay kid a break because he was gay, though. I grew up in a weird area where we would pick on you for being a faggot but if you were legit gay we'd just leave you be.
On that note, my ex from high school and college was telling that even the boys in her grade school had a favorite between NSYNC and Backstreet Boys and I just responded that if any boy listened to that shit in my school you would be fighting kids daily for a few weeks until people got bored with it and found the next personal to fuck with.
