Woke Pat picks the most stereotypical dish. If the book was set in China, he’d pick General Tso’s chicken and mention chopsticks. What a racist
I wouldn't have thought fish could travel well in Victorian times so when is it set?

That said there were 3 times the amount of fish and chip shops in the Victorian times compared to today so what do I know.

That's it. My gf just wings everything and experiments and it always turns out great. Her mom actually cooks like my mom. Just happy to eat some dry piece of chicken breast with zero seasoning. And that's how they LIKE their food. One time I spent all day on a smoker and made French Dip sandwiches. Everyone loved them and my mom refused to finish hers because it had too much flavor and the meat was medium rare, and if beef isn't grey throughout, she thinks it's not cooked enough eventhough I used a probe thermometer that gets it exactly where it needs to be.
that sounds delicous, French dip rules. aww jew sauce is one of my favorite diiiiiiiiiips. #Ruizing

Just because I'm Scottish doesn't mean I prefer their cooking. I've been traveling the world since I was a young man, it was eye opening eating cuisines of other ethnicities. I couldn't go back.

Also, thank you. This is why I stress the need for doubt, it helps in case anyone of a certain, ahem, field, finds me on here.

And no, I've never liked haggis, before you ask.
I’ve always believed. Even if you’ve given me doubts, Ray. Let the record show, when you’re taken to The Hague.
