Happy to share the long, epic tale.
It was the best of times and the worst of times.
Norton really fell off after Anthony got fired in 2014, and was just floundering along for a few years as he put in literally no effort towards Opie and Jim. In parallel, former peers like Bill Burr would become one of the top comics in the business and started getting movies. Joe Rogan, Colin Quinn, and even fat piece of shit Bob Kelly were starting to broaden their horizons, some would go on to become household names.
Norton, having no genuine interests outside of edging to trannies, had his SiriusXM gig with Opie (later Sam), his ufc show with Matt Serra, and his stupid Chip YouTube show/podcast. None of these things were particularly popular because he’s not actually funny or interesting.
Well eventually Chip starts to gain traction and part of the dynamic was that Chip would make unfunny jokes and simp for this strong jawed girl named Lauren, who would play along since she was in on the bit. He was amassing hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and really expanding his reach. Things were finally looking up.
Unfortunately for Norton, Lauren starts dating Dave Smith, one of the few heterosexual comedians in NY at the time, from Legion of Skanks. Dave quickly notices that Norton has actual feelings for Lauren but is being shady about it under the guise of it being a character and a bit.
Dave, having a >100 IQ, tells Lauren to stop associating with degenerate sex predators because he’ll rape you even though he’s a closeted homosexual who takes loads in his ass from a tranny who can’t enter Canada. She decides she doesn’t want to be date raped and abruptly leaves the show.
The next day, Norton goes on air with Sam and shits all over Dave for a while because he’s legitimately hurt. The sub collectively jacks off that old angry Norton was back and decides to join in on the Dave hate, despite them hating Norton even more. The Dave hate eventually fades.
Eventually, the Chip audience starts to realize that Norton sucks, Chip sucks, and the podcast is a waste of time. Views plummet to tens of thousands before cratering to under 10,000, at which point Norton kills the show. He continues to do his show with ugly Sam Roberts, marries a tranny who spends all his money, and is now largely unemployed with no prospects. Sure he has a small spot in the Irishmen but nobody notices or cares outside of this place.
Dave goes on to become a prominent right wing libertarian grifter as his wife Lauren disappears from the scene and settles into her happy life as a wealthy wife and mother of two.
So special shout out to Dave for crushing all of Norton’s hopes and dreams.
