Pornstars on the show

This is a complete fabrication. 100% lies. This is not how guest booking worked. I really don't know who you think you're trying to be as some pseudo insider. Cut the larp.
Yeah i don’t know what he was referring to and I think he got some shit confused so let me use your comment to flex my autism.

Opie and Jim once got into a fight because Jim lost his guest booking privileges over constantly booking porn whores and nude magazine models. This meant that Jim also lost out on being able to book MMA and WWE fighters. Apparently Norton had been going to Sirius and saying "Opie and Antony want these guests booked". But in reality it was Norton using their names to book his own guests and waste the audience's time and basically lying to management that Opie was booking all of these porn whores. Opie found out and told Norton he was done with guests.
I think you’re getting the 2005 fight and the 2017 DL Hughley fight mixed up. The 2005 fight, although stemming from growing personal issues between Opie and Jim, was relayed on air to be about comics waiting outside. First of all I don’t think Jim had ANY sway when it came to the show. Remember that during this era he was sleeping for the first hour, or writing his book, and management wanted him fired. All he could do in terms of booking was go to Opie and say “We should have these guys on” which was the genesis of this argument. Opie told Jim to bring more comics on, he invited Sean Rause who waited outside and wasn’t thanked, and supposedly this happened to Patrice and Burr too which pissed Jim off. On top of that, when Jim would go to Opie and say “We should have more porn stars on” Opie was resistant to the idea. So it wasn’t that Jim lost privileges - he never had them to begin with. All he “lost” was the power his suggestion had for Opie or Ant. The DL Hughley post argument was the same shit, Jim upset that porn whores were being denied and completely giving up on the show or his part in it.

If this fight occurred it would have had to been off air. And what you’re describing wouldn’t even result in a fight but a flat out firing. Remember Jim worked for O&A first and Sirius second. If Jim were going behind the shows back and booking guests using Opies name that’s (non criminal) fraud and would absolutely be grounds for a “Get the fuck out of here.”
Pretty much half of the fights on the show stemmed from Norton and Anthony trying to ruin Opie's radio format and make their own version of the show. So Norton booking porn whores and Anthony ranting about "black crime" but being drowned out by Candy Crush noises. Or retarded fights like Norton's friend Sean Rouse bombing on the show and Opie just giving him the silent treatment in return. Then Norton freaking out that Opie had "disrespected" both Rouse and Norton. Which was probably in the back of Opie's mind when he got DL Hughley on the show a decade later.
I wouldn’t necessarily say they were consciously trying to ruin it as much as they were just fucking dummies who forgot what show they were on. To be fair to Jim, porn whores do serve a place in the shock jock world. They’re not funny and are fucking boring but they have their place. Serious rants about black crime and racism have no place on a comedy show because it wasn’t fucking comedy nor was it raunchy. It was just a deeply insecure Mulatto getting his rage out everyday. In their minds they had no idea this was detrimental to the show or didn’t fit, because they are fucking self obsessed idiots who weren’t thinking of the show. For Ant it was about larping as a right winger, appearing smart, appearing macho, appearing informed, etc. For Jim it was about larping as a straight man really interested in women. The show never crossed their fucking minds.
When Norton tried to have Roy Den Hollander on Opie told him flat out "no". And Norton had to keep pressing Opie over and over until finally Opie caved because it meant that Norton had to beg for guest privileges and use a slot on someone who wasn't a porn star. So at least Opie got Norton to use one of his guest booking spots on someone who would not bore the audience. And it paid off as Hollander's appearance was hall of of fame level.
If I could truly condense my autism I would go through some shows post 2005 and their guests and figure out who Jimmy suggested and who didn’t. As said before Jim didn’t have as much power booking as O&A did. All he could do was suggest certain people to O&A. I believe pornstars were a hard no and Jim just stopped asking, so any subsequent appearance is fat Steve or dumb Roland. Roy Den Hollander could have been a bust as he had no relation to the show other than Jimmy wanting to trash him (Imagine if Jimmy wanted to get the guy who wrote MSN’s unfunny business article on the air. Probably would have been a no as the appearance would be self serving and all about Jim.) But as far as comedians I have no doubt O&A took Jims suggestions seriously. Jim got so many comedy guests on O&A either directly or by proxy. Vos was brought on by Jim who then brought on Patrice. Bobby, Colin, and CK all came in because of Norton. And obviously this makes sense. Without Norton on the show theres no direct connection from O&A to comedians, it’s just another shock jock show ala Howard but even smaller so there isn’t this goal to get on it for the exposure. Norton allowed an “in” for these comedians who allowed them to see that it WASN’T just another Howie rip off or average show but a place where comedians could fawwkin hang and do their own thing.

Yeah.....it was about Opie "disrespecting" Norton's comic friends. By not acknowledging them or helping them set up their jokes. Rouse was the straw that broke the camel's back and eventually got Norton to lose his mind with Opie. But it never changed anything as Opie would continue to keep comics in the green room when he wanted to. And Norton had to accept it like a little bitch. For all of XM and Sirius there would be a comic friend of Norton's who would come onto the show once a year or so and say "why was I in the green room for so long?". Including people like Vos, Patrice, or DiPaolo complaining that Opie had kept them in the back room instead of letting them walk into the show. Because Opie ran the show. Not stupid Norton.

When Norton told Opie not to bring in DL Hughley but Opie did it anyways, it was another time where Norton lost his mind over being overrode by Opie. But when the show is called "Opie and Jim" though he had a point. As he was half the show and a main host and no longer a third microphone. And by that point Opie's respect for Norton was nonexistent and they clearly hated each other too much.
Roy Den Hollander could have been a bust as he had no relation to the show other than Jimmy wanting to trash him.
Norton wanted to have Roy Den Hollander on the show to have a serious interview that Norton would lead. Opie said that the audience didn't care about Hollander's stupid anti-feminism lawsuits and that it would be boring. Which was why Opie kept turning Hollander down and Norton kept pestering him to just relent. Opie finally let Norton book him on the show but he told Norton that it was "his segment".

And the interview as a classic. As eventually Hollander revealed himself as a complete pussy on the race issue and then everyone including Norton began ripping on him which lead to the huge fight and lawsuit. And the callers piling on. As well as Norton making various knock knock jokes about Hollander. And finally Hollander murdering a few people and then offing himself.
