If you're A) still in the city and B) going to a pride parade with your kids, I'm going to assume you are fine with it if not seeking it out.
I am under the impression that this stuff only happens in cities. I don't think we have pride parades in my wealthy, deep blue suburb. If we do, nobody I know goes or cares.

How the fuck did the whole “we MUST HAVE drag Queen shows for young kids!!!” Become so big so quick? It’s like almost overnight they had drag queens reading books to small kids and we were told there’s nothing weird about it. There’s even restaurants doing “drag Queen brunch” once a month or so. There will be a hard push back within around 20 years probably. It’s currently the new “controversial” and “pushing boundaries” thing. When 60% of these kids have severe mental illness after realizing they lost their childhood, it’s going to be over for awhile.

While I feel bad for the individuals involved in this trend (the kids, and even the misguided adults who think being progressive is great because they've been tricked), I keep saying over and over that things have to get worse before they can get better. They didn't have cross-dressing drag queens reading to children during the Holodomor because they were starving. I think we've had it so good in this country for so long that we get to have these luxury beliefs. Just wait until half the country has to eat bugs or starve.
(I do want to state that I can't believe what I've just written. If you showed me the above 20 years ago I would think an absolute crackpot wrote that. It's so fucked up how fast this all has happened, like you said.)
