Science spent most of history being wrong, still being proved wrong, multiple religions spread independently all over the world almost all with the same central themes of sacrifice, conquest, performing miracles etc. So its probable you'd get something similar to our current organised religions albeit with different core texts. In the same spirit you probably wouldn't take a huge scientific misstep into alchemy, bloodletting and divining if you made a reset of knowledge.

This shit is freshman-level philosophizing that gets drilled right out of you if you're paying any attention in your sophomore year and beyond.
Unfortunately, there is nothing being drilled out of college students anymore. They are babied, never challenged, and believe all of their delusions through graduation. These are the people that have been entering the workforce over the past 10 years and its clearly why society is collapsing

Pat should read Thomas Kuhn's, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions-- if he went to college beyond 10 weeks or so, he might have been exposed to it.

Fat really has no idea about the feedback loop between culture and science/technology.

A small example being the telephone. It was intended to be a limited-use tool to get in touch with a doctor or whatever. Instead it became mostly a means of socializing.

Also, what a scientist chooses to pursue is heavily culturally-influenced. He really does not understand the relationship between Christianity and science, for example. On a macro level, the style of thought influenced by Christian cultures contributed to certain types if scientific pursuits.

Like in Islamic cultures around year 900 or so, for a time they were very advanced in math and science, influenced by their interpretation of the Quran and their cultural predispositions. Then their interpretation changed, and they went backwards for a good long while. This would seemingly reinforce Fat’s idiotic point, but that’s only one outcome of religious thought.

He is an incredibly deterministic thinker and constantly shows his own ignornace when he tries to pontificate about shit he doesn’t understand.

In fact, I’d like to see Fat try to define religion in his own words. I’d pay off his Quasi debt if he could it in such a way that doesn’t also allow for science/politics/sports/region/nation/race/etc o also fall under the umbrella of religion. Some of the most influential cultural theorists of all time struggle with this definition, but Fat would mist likely blunder ahead with a very black and white view. A certainty in an inherently uncertain category.

Also, if he had done any research into the topic of religion at all, he would know that many think humans are often thought of as predisposed to what we call religion/spirituality, on account that it blossoms all over the world in every single context. You know what hasn’t though? Modern medicine and dick chopping doctors. Hmmm.

His brain is too layered in fat to allow anything else in besides his own religion: “current year” politics and kids movies. No room for nuance, just meatloaf and Lord of the Rings platitudes, please.
Also, what a scientist chooses to pursue is heavily culturally-influenced.

This is so true. Most scientific inventions are little fish that cling onto a big shark premise. Based on socially accepted advances. If humanity was wiped out, the whole scientific world would be completely different a thousand years from now cause it doesn't end. Science is what evolves. The human condition doesn't. Fat retard pig.

The proposer of the Big Bang theory and the dude who Hubble stole his main theories from was a Catholic priest and the church has never said any of this is contradicting with its theology.

But hey 🤷🏿‍♂️

What a profound take. I remember thinking the same thing back in 2010 except I was 19/20 and not in my 40s. Actually, I was just repeating Hitchens, Dawkins, Harris etc. just like he is doing right now. What a cultured intellectual he is. The #1 problem in the US and probably the world is these evangelicals pushing their Christianity on the rest of us people who ACTUALLY USE OUR BRAINS. He really should be paid for his thoughts on different topics, his voice is so unique and important.
