In the early 90s the Simpsons had a “test” for writers applying for a staff writing job to write a “Marge Episode” to see if they were any good and some of those submissions became actual episodes and was how some writers were hired.

Pat doesn’t even try and thinks that’s something to brag about.
When the woman explains that she does write for a shared IP and that each writer can definitely 'put their own stamp on it'......Patrick says 'right'.

it's probably not false though, he probably told his agent "durrr I wanna write about Princess Leila and Chewbacca" and the dude is like "don't waste my fucking time fatso, they'll never hire you"
