In the most recently available data from the 22 tax year, the top 1% of income earners made 23% of all income and paid 41% of all federal income taxes.

Not sure what more these people want. If they think we should tax assets or unrealised gains, they’re clearly learning disabled and there’s no point communicating with them.

I do have feel bad for people who work hard and still don’t make enough to live, and families who have to have both parents work when one income was previously more than enough.
