There is literally no way he is selling even 500 books a year. Back when I was tracking his sales on Amazon* in 2020, he was selling maybe 20 books a month. And Amazon accounts for something like 80% of an author's total sales.
*For each of his books, if there were fewer than 20 in stock, Amazon would tell you how many were available for purchase. So if you looked at Gate Crashers on Amazon, it would say like "12 remaining in stock". So I checked it every day. Every time the stock number dropped by one, I assumed it was because someone bought a copy. I did this for all six of his books. He was selling only a handful of physical copies a week across all six. Obviously this doesn't account for eBook sales but it does give you a good idea. Now fast forward 3-4 years and all of his books are old and he has zero cachet behind his name. He's probably selling only 250-300 books a year.
