My friends and I are all big sports fans since we were kids but when you’re an adult with a job and a life it makes it difficult to keep up. I can’t even watch a game now unless I put money on it, even then I sometimes don’t even watch the full game, just the end. What a cunt. You follow sports teams as a kid. If you're lucky like me, your team comes good in your teens and you enjoy a glory win streak after years of mediocrity and disappointment. Then you grow up and get a job and you realise it's gay and pointless to worry if the 22 year old multi millionaire has pulled his hamstring or not and whether he'll be ready for the big match on Saturday. Anyone who seriously invests in professional sports for "their entire adult life" is a failure, end of story.
I give the exception to gamblers, or at least put them in a different category of pathetic failures. What a cunt. You follow sports teams as a kid. Funny you say that, I read an article recently about how baseball is in a real weird spot when it comes to fans. You’ve got the older fans who have cable to watch the games yet the younger crowds are cutting the cord and use streaming services. The older fans can’t figure out streaming so MLB can’t go to heavy on streaming deals and stay with cable. Plus even with streaming services local games get blacked out because of whatever cable deal they have. There was a game recently that had to be shown on the cable sports channels app and my dad asked how to watch it and he just said “eh, forgot it” which is the older crowd. For those who didn’t notice, they had to edit him out. If you see the first shot of the bar, he jumps into frame and they do a quick edit. He was trying to hog the camera the entire time. Just to scream over a dead sport that no one cares about except for old white people.

That’s become the only way I’ll actually make time to sit and watch a game. Even if it’s my “team”I give the exception to gamblers, or at least put them in a different category of pathetic failures.
Very true, he is most attention starved person I’ve ever seen. Probably what made Ade finally leave him, she knew he couldn’t be a good father because he can’t handle not being the center of attention. It’s why Twitter is his life, it’s a way he can get instant attention from strangers. No wonder his family doesn’t invite him for holidays.someone else is being the center of attention instead of mamma Raven's special big boy? oh no sir, this will not stand!
Yeah, personally I think it's a bit dumb to bet on something so completely out of your control in terms of real world knowledge but sure. It's just a bit of fun hopefully. If you've got skin in the game financially the outcome is obviously more important than some faggot zilch like Fat who just wants to use it as an excuse to hug other dudes.I give the exception to gamblers, or at least put them in a different category of pathetic failures.
Well I should clarify I meant compulsive gamblers. You just want to throw a few bucks on a game, that's whatever. Or even if you are a compulsive gambler it's whatever to me. Hell, even if you're like pat and watch sports because your wife's basement floods watching the athletic black guy on tv it's whatever.Yeah, personally I think it's a bit dumb to bet on something so completely out of your control in terms of real world knowledge but sure. I appreciate baseball because it’s a great American sport. The reality is, it’s too slow. The only people with the attention span for it are old people. If I was a young buck in the 70’s I’d be running on the fields with everyone else. It’s dying because it’s not fast enough. It’s why you see you basketball flourishing because every minute you see multiple plays. It just wasn’t built for modern society. Gaming is going to be the future solely because of the instant gratification and appreciation for intense understanding and mechanical skill involved. It’s more a fun thing, makes the game interesting enough to watch. Football is more fun to bet on that baseball though.Yeah, personally I think it's a bit dumb to bet on something so completely out of your control in terms of real world knowledge but sure. Baseball isn't dying. The World Series last year had as many viewers as this year's NBA Championship.I appreciate baseball because it’s a great American sport. The reality is, it’s too slow. Yeah I’m in my mid 30s and I don’t see the younger people getting into like they used to because it’s a slow game. Especially when you think about a perfect game in baseball is almost nothing happening for 9 innings. Kids now are entertained by watching OTHER people play video games. Once the older crowd dies off MLB is really gonna have a fawkin problemI appreciate baseball because it’s a great American sport. The reality is, it’s too slow. But then again that’s the World Series, even a casual fan will watch but not every game of their team. That’s another issue with baseball and fans for the future, too many games.Baseball isn't dying. The World Series last year had as many viewers as this year's NBA Championship.
He was looking for that camera to really ham it up. I bet since he got on the news he felt he was an official super fan after that. He started watching baseball in like 2008.For those who didn’t notice, they had to edit him out. If you see the first shot of the bar, he jumps into frame and they do a quick edit. He was trying to hog the camera the entire time. Just to scream over a dead sport that no one cares about except for old white people.

I guess I can’t argue that, but what does that really mean? It’s still dying. Which is sad. I used to be an athlete, a fighter, a NAVY seal. That was also the peak of the season. I’d be willing to wager that the NBA averages better ratings than the MLB. NBA gets 90% of American demographics whereas the MLB gets old whites and certain Hispanics.Baseball isn't dying. The World Series last year had as many viewers as this year's NBA Championship.
There’s too many games that feel meaningless, and eventless. Everyone tunes in for the big game but, half the reason the MLB doesn’t do well, is because it doesn’t delve into the drama. They should be pushing team drama and creating real tensions in between fans. The real problem with that is, brands like coke don’t want to advertise that, so they won’t. Your team winning something used to mean something. Now it feels like it doesn’t matter so why bother watching? But then again that’s the World Series, even a casual fan will watch but not every game of their team. That’s another issue with baseball and fans for the future, too many games.
