To be fair I think that guy was the one who unveiled Pat's Bookscan numbers and some other legit inside info on the FFWBT. He's one of the good ones.

I'll say this, Baen is kind of a specific mention for some random to throw in there. They certainly publish plenty of genre fic but it's not a household name I'd wager. Maybe it's real or maybe throwing that in there was the point. Sounds plausible and exactly like what he's been doing, and was reported to be doing by multiple sources who reported to EVS and others.
