I have a lot of hangups with random hook ups, those being the main ones. I ditched the dating apps after I moved out of a big city a long time ago. There are more options and its easier to never see them again in a big city. In a small town its same pool of women getting passed around and the likelihood of running into them while out and about is far higher. This has to be 100% true. Every person I knew when I was a kid who ate like a slob turned out to become a fat slob in adulthood.
Just look at poor Asian countries. The tallest 1% of men average 5’8. They live off a diet of mostly rice and little to no protein in childhood. Then when a few of them work hard enough to make it to America, a 5’3 male and female couple gives birth to a kid that grows to 6 feet. It’s not genetic at all. Your metabolism and growth are 100% defined by your diet in your formative years.
I’m sure someone with a shitty diet as a kid could lose weight and become fit/healthy, but it’s going to take a very strict diet and much harder exercise than someone who had it better as a kid. All I can say is I’m glad my parents were also strict about no junk food and healthy home-cooked meals. Sucks as a kid but you appreciate it as you get older.
This might be why zoomers are so tall, because they have access to so much food now, whereas in the old days you got a plate of beans once a day.

I had back issues for about 5 years which never really went away even after exercising more and changing my diet. It wasn't debilitating pain but it was enough that it started to limit things I could do with my younger kids. About 6 months ago I was telling a guy at work about it and recommended this thing on Amazon that cost like 20 bucks. It's a plastic thing with ridges in it that you lay on for 10 minutes. The ridges are designed to separate and relieve the pressure on vertebra. I was skeptical but for 20 bucks I gave it a shot. Well it took about 2 days of using it and the pain went away and hasn't comeback. I currently only use it every 2 or 3 days but I've gone a couple of weeks without using before my back started to hurt again. In my case I never had a back injury that caused me pain but more of a getting older thing.
