Very true, even when gloating about his award win (it was a tie) he mentioned it was the first time a black person had one. Really makes you think that the “tie” vote count isn’t accurate.

Yeah I'm convinced most of the people voting didn't actually read it. Even if you remove my subjective skeeviness over the whole "selling your daughter's destiny", objectively it's written like a 6th grade writing assignment.

Like the ending is that the main character sets off a destiny bomb which steals the destiny of everyone in like a 500 feet radius and then all the destiny goes to his daughter. How could anybody read that and go "yup, this deserves all the awards".
