Most everyone knows that Luis Guzman was and probably still is a family friend on my dad's side.

I haven't seen him since around 2002 but in the 90s would see him every summer when I would spend time at my aunt's in NY in the LES. He even went to a couple of our family reunions at Rockaway Beach and would play handball with my dad and cousins. I used to think he was related to me, but he isn't. Just a very close friend to one of my dad's cousins. I had no idea he was any sort of actor until Boogie Nights came out when I was a preteen.

If I was sent to a premiere of a movie or tv show featuring him and he seen me from the red carpet he'd immediately recognize me and probably get all red like he always does and possibly cry. My aunt's place has photos from parties over the years and there's one with Luis sitting next to me stuffing his face that I wish I had a copy of to post on Twitter. He looks hilarious in it.

I was an intern for a TV production company and got involved in the making of an episode of Who do you think you are? with Jim Parsons, the guy from The Big Bang Theory.
In the episode, he finds out one of his ancestor was an french architect who built churches near Versailles and embezzled money.
Anyway, there was a shot to do and he was out to lunch. So I was his hand model. The contrast between the prim-and-proper actor and his grubby hands reading a book makes me snigger to this day.

Oh how did I forget, I know a nitro girl! She was also briefly known as Kamawanalaeu. She was the Chinaman. My wife's cousin was dating her and I'd see her during the Christmas holidays. She was awesome, she'd tell me all about the behind the scenes stuff. She even knew about TNA wrestling being created years before it became a thing.
I've mentioned I don't have yellow fever so I don't immediately think every bug person is hot, but she legit was. She was also kinda tiny. I guess everyone on TV looks bigger
