Wolfmother. They sucked and all their songs sound the same. A do nothing band since 2009 yet still churning out crap. When was the last time you heard about wolfmother?


Disturbed. Some good songs but at the time disturbred were a joke and typical dude rock that get's made fun of, and their lead singer was a fucking bore of an interview to the point opie called him out for being so serious and boring.

When the navy uses your songs for enlistment your credibility goes down the drain. Disturbed wishes they could have gotten that contract, maybe they have since the 90s?

Godsmack was from Lowell or Lawrence, and were big in the Boston bar/music scene. They were friends with WAAF DJs like Mistress Carrie and Ozone.

In the WAAF/WBCN battle radio battle, Godsmack was a rare "win" for the smaller WAAF for discovering a new national band.

So it was both: WAAF promoted the shit out of Godsmack at the time (it was unbearable, even if you like them they just over played the shit out of them) and they were one of the first big bands O&A got to know since they were there as they took off.

I'm pretty sure I heard my first Wolfmother song a couple of days ago, I've been playing Guitar Hero and they had a song on there. It's called Woman.
Previously, whenever I heard the name "Wolfmother", I always thought of the First Aid Kit song Wolf.

This is one of those "broken clock is right twice a day" things from Anthony's "book", where he says that Opie doesn't seem to actually like anything. Anytime Opie brought a song/band (or anything, really) to the show, he sounded completely unsure of himself and unable to not only articulate why he likes it, but he couldn't articulate anything about it at all. It was like an alien describing music or something. Anything he brought up was just to reflect on his desired image, as opposed to expressing earnest interest in something.
