I forgot how much he talked about this animated project that never happened. For YEARS he told his listeners it would be coming soon only to never be made just like his “Porky’s” and “Rock And Roll High School” remakes. Now it’s 2021 and he’s still bringing up his one movie Private Parts from 1997 any chance he can. Son of the Beach isn’t even available on the major streaming services because I’m guessing he’s trying to keep that kind of “humor” hidden from the public. Tell em, Fred!

They used to do this in the 1970s all the time. Archie Bunker, George Jefferson. Happy Days, What's Happening. No one will watch this nonsense, because blacks aren't a novelty on TV anymore.

I cant see this show lasting past a season. I don’t see a black audience being interested in a Re-boot of a white family show from the late 80s / early 90s that was set in the 60s now with a black family. Wonder Years was a hit with boomers when it came on (was set in their growing up years) but now that crowd (late 50s - 60s) barely watches anything new. At the most the first 1-2 episodes will have an audience but that will dwindle as most new shows do as they find something else to watch and forget about this reboot.
