I think he's pretty transparently trying to leverage his relationship with a man into a spot in the zoomer-focused podcast circuit. He never would have been able to get a foothold in 5 years ago with his history, but now that he's an ally he becomes more accessible to a larger audience.
It's working for him to a degree, but he's still in his 60s, completely unknown, and too late to the game to really profit off of it.

It’s incredibly transparent, but there are two things that will cause this venture to fail:

1. Jim is incredibly lazy and not even living out his fetish fantasy of being married to a she-man is going to motivate him to be more productive, he’ll throw money at it until he’s got nothing left. He’s squandered most of the good will he’s had with fans, and what’s left are a bunch of faggots anyway because if you listened everyday for 8 years of Jim and Sam, you should be sent to a concentration camp.

2. Jim has so much dirt out there, all it will take is some fat blue haired type to frame it as Jim’s a sexual deviant who fetishizes trans women and isn’t a real ally.
