I said it a while ago but they really picked the worst possible person in Ooga to make him the “face” of African writers and diversity. They had plenty of others to pick from and they took the most arrogant and lazy piece of shit possible. Even those interviews they just sat there and kissed his ass while he said the most retarded shit (my disability is I get bored, I don’t care what publishers want- they want 60k words they’ll get 15k and deal with it - I only write on my phone)

Im not the "wrong police" and I wasnt a victim so I dont really care about the ethics of it. Its their problem. They got duped and spent actual money. Im just laughing at it all playing out. They wont get any satisfying compensation. Ooga wont get arrested, he wont have to pay back anything. Reminds me of those pat posts where one from his circle turns on him and he cries " but Im an ally". They are probably mostly mad that the "bad people" were right about him . While they thought they were making the world a better place by helping him. All that goodwill just so they can quench that white guilt. Im glad some of them are calling out the SFWA for obviously tokenizing him.
