Fair point, but i was 20 years old when they won in 2011 and busted such a huge nut partying that whole week where it feels like a sustained period of success

Yeah, fuck. That was fun. I was in my mid twenties.


But I'm old enough to remember the Borque and Oates teams that should've won a cup, the Joe Thorton teams that should've won a cup, and this - whatever's left of this team - that should've won 2-3 cups. It's constant underachieving until they finally win one by mistake - they had no business winning in 2011. That was the last great Tough Guy team in NHL history. The whole game changed after that, they collectively decided they didn't want teams winning based on fighting anymore.

Edit: For the record, my mother still tells stories about going out in town in the 70s and Derek Sanderson showing up with his mustache (unshowered) after games and having to get in a literal line of women to wait to talk to him. He would buy drinks for every woman in the bar and all the guys would get pissed. This is why they say the Big Bad Bruins always drank in packs, like a motorcycle gang - the local guys worshiped them until women were involved.
But EVEN THAT team of Orr, Espo, Sanderson, etc should have won FIVE cups. Winning only two because they were all booze bag idiots is kind of an unspoken disgrace in Boston.

I got Georgia, Penn St., Oregon and Texas in the semis.

Probably Oregon vs. Georgia in the finals but I could see Penn St getting there, too.

If Oregon can figure out how to play any kind of defense they should take it all.

I hope Ohio St, Georgia, and Notre Dame lose immediately.

edit: fawwwwk, forgot Georgia lost their qb. I have no idea now.
