Yes, the house mostly burned down, a month ago. I was renting the home so finding a new place on no notice, while also trying to keep from disrupting my kids' school year has been stressful. The fire started at 1 am. Unfortunately, the fire started in the garage at the opposite end of the house, By the time enough smoke crept in to set off the smoke detector, the fire had already almost completely engulfed the garage and the house was rapidly filling with smoke. Luckily I was awake to hear it and my kids were with their mother for the weekend. I was able to wake up my girlfriend and get her out of the house safely. I Went back in to try to get our 3 dogs out of the house but was unable to get to them because of the smoke. There was almost no visibility and I struggled to find my way out the back door into our back yard.
Naturally, because of my profession, my property was insured well, but there are things the money can't replace. Having 2 of the 3 beloved family dogs die of asphyxia was already heartbreaking enough, but I also lost my top-shelf gay porn stash. Those tapes were the creme de la creme man.
Anyway, did I miss anything good in the last month? These ribs could use a laugh because shit has sucked lately. It's getting better now, but man I give it 0/5 stars. Would not recommend.
