I watched the first 10 minutes before realizing it was exactly as pretentious as it appeared to be.

At heart he's a theater fag who wants to be liked by the New York theater fag scene but didn't understand that they were waiting to tear him down. He wants to live in the world of the truth-telling people's comic and the wealthy snobbish artsy clique but he found out the hard way you can't do both. That's what would've happened to his movie too. Too artsy for the mainstream and too mainstream for the artsy crowd.

You think Ireland is "keepin' it real?" Their head of state is a homosexual Paki who kisses the EU's arse to the detriment of "his own" country's interests. And Italy still has probably the harshest covid restrictions of any country in Europe. Right now you have to wear a mask outside in the ski lifts and that's after you've shown a literal police officer your only valid for 24 hours before you have to renew it online ski pass.
