I was watching a video about scalpers, and it’s cheaper to go to a concert outside of the US. Those extra charges are crazy that they tack on. This Sears by me had a Ticketmaster inside that you could walk up and buy a ticket. This was 80-90s, those days of camping for tickets are long gone

I’ve told this story here before but I remember Linkin Park complaining about how they spent an entire day in the studio working on those remixes (which seems to amount to putting an electronic drum beat over the original tracks) then Jay-Z showed up hours late, recorded all his verses in about 20 minutes, and dipped out. Hopefully that translates to the ticket prices dropping in Vegas. I want to go but I can't rationalize paying $1000 for the ball and chain and I go to and not even have good seats. It's one of those that "sold out" the day it went on sale and dumped all the tickets to Stubhub. Biggest fees I've ever seen, like $140 on top of the ticket price. F/Ns. I looked at some other cities and the tickets are way less. If one had the time, you could save money flying somewhere else, pay for hotel/travel etc for less than going to the show here.

I’m sure there can’t be many people under age forty who like or know those bands. Mind you, I remember quite a few of my hateable hipstery Gen Y classmates back in the day being extremely into The Beatles, Janis, The Stones, ABBA and all that, due to retro cycles of fashion and also our Boomer parents.

My friend said they at least have a new song that while being pushed hard the fans aren’t exactly thrilled about it. Really should have just been a couple festival dates to see how the crowd reacts and not a headline tour that they thought could fill Dodger stadium. Creed somehow came back from being the band everyone hated before Nickleback took that title to now playing a major tour and college frat guys playing creed at college bars / frat parties.
