Surely this can't be true. Surely SFWA wouldn't be this stupid. There is nothing to gain by funding anything for Patrick, let alone paying to sue Leslie. He could spin his other issues as something that effects SFWA when goodreads reviews were at stake but there's nothing in this for them except the potential to lose more money and look stupid. This has to be bullshit.

Piggy went on a media tour crying he’s under attack and how bomb threats follow him around so he shouldn’t be shocked that these cons are concerned for their safety is he is a guest. If you were booking a music artist / group that recently complained on national tv that bomb threats follow them to their shows wouldn’t a venue think twice about booking them? Piggy dug his own grave.
