Literally my thought process.
I reckon they have been given heads up by Youtube and other Social Media Analytics teams...they figured there is absolutely no way they will win a 'wholesome, good movie' Marketing campaign, so they actively tweaked the algorithm to prioritize all the anti-semitic and anti-holywood comments, which will illicit more 'outrage' scrolling and watching.
Negative publicity is infinitely superior to no publicity.
