Joe's "love of music" isn't even rooted in the craft or the art of it. For Joe, how he's perceived is all that matters to him. He wants to be front and center, and he wants to be recognized as "the talented one", like he was when he was young. Back then, all he had to do was memorize the leads in "Cities On Flame" and his pals were floored. That's how he wants it to always be. He doesn't want to collaborate, or create, or even really entertain. He wants to impress everyone with his amazing guitar wizardry, and that's it. Just like his brother, there's that deeply disingenuous aspect to everything he does and, just like his brother, everyone finds him abrasive and off-putting, which is why he doesn't have a single friend in his local music scene. He doesn't jam with people just for fun, he doesn't even go to live shows to check out other musicians. He just wants to play rock star, and it's the only aspect of it he cares about.

The funniest thing is that this is all true, because the old faggot would be constantly posting about it on Facebook if he was doing any of this. Instead it’s “$2,000 bottles of wine” and trash collecting on the grill of his car.
