Rogan has a very Gen X fascination with war, never having had to worry about it himself.

This is the same problem we had in Vietnam: small squads of meatheads without enough direction, and short tours that meant they didn't have to care about the country they were in or the consequences of their actions.

Not exactly. I was in one of those places. Did a few missions in support of these 'task forces', not pure SEALs. I'd guess more often than not, these types would pop in and out of areas, searching for individuals. I do like that guys in 'conventional' units are willing to call out some of these celebrity War Fighters. The amount of spec ops worship in America since 9/11 has been quite entertaining. Many veterans are well-adjusted, though it may have been a difficult process for some.
