Anyone with half a brain knows his fanciful anecdotes are bullshit. Like Florentine said, why would the brototype (ugh...) talk shit about her when Pat may be her friend or boyfriend? Which, at 120 pounds overweight, could be very likely they're a couple.

It's a shame more people don't call him out on his fibbing ways.

Not to mention that he is supposedly doing all this within earshot of the aggrieved fat woman.

So she gets to see and hear one guy argue with another about her, and her supposed defender just casually estimates how much extra weight she is carrying on her body.

And there is a difference between carrying dumbbells and carrying weight that is distributed over your frame.
Yes! The distribution is another really good point.

And who would stand there and deal with this? Further, gym people are absolutely the nicest demographic you could come across. They keep to themselves when working out and the only times they don’t, they stop to be helpful of encouraging. In all my time training I’ve never seen one person talk shit about another one at a public gym, a private gym, anywhere.

Especially not the really fit people. They are too confident to display insecure behavior like that. And none of the rare few assholes would just stand there politely and be lectured by a fat guy who is so unattractive he would be a slump buster for a gay major leaguer.

How do you even give someone two 60-lb. dumbbells?
Not by the grip! Can’t fit two hands on it at a time. So unless this other guy is taking them one at a time by the plate and then using his other hand grab the grip, which I’ve never really seen anyone do when handing someone else weights, you have to put them on the floor so the other guy can pick them up. So this fatso wants us to believe that he brought these weights over, put them down on the floor, and the other guy was patient enough and went along with it, and picked them up. The more granular the story gets the more retarded.

I don’t know a guy who uses 60 pound dumbbells as their working weight who don’t have 22 inch biceps. But he’s using that weight to make you think he regularly chucks those around the gym. “60 pound dumbbells aren’t that heavy, child.”

It shows his ignorance of real weight training, and his, ironically, childlike idea of what bodybuilding is.

The villains in his stories are cobbled together from the tropes of corny 80's movies he saw on tv (meatheads, jocks, high school bullies) and acceptable targets the media said was OK to hate (rednecks, republicans, Bible-beaters). He has no grip on reality. His whole fat frame of reference is from the screen world.

That was my thought too. Instead of taking it off to the side and just telling the dude to shut up, he supposedly argues with the guy right in front of her to the point that he looks at her machine to see how long she's been working. You can't do that without being right up on it, especially a Stairmaster because the readout is up high on top of the steps. So if this in fact happened, he just humiliated this fat lady worse than the guy making a comment. He's such a fucking liar I'm surprised he didn't end the story with the gym guy leaving the gym in shame and the fattie offering to blow him in the bathroom. At which point he declined with his "Sorry, I'm happily married" line. Speaking of, usually the people who feel the need to say they're "Happily" married usually aren't happy about it.

Also agree with the dumbbell thing, you can tell Rick has never done a Farmer's Walk because I'm not sure there's a person alive who can carry 60s for 15 minutes. Is anyone's grip strength that good?

No way lol, although they'd probably make for good cringe reading. I meant the stories he tells about his life. The man cannot stop fabricating situations that "happened" to him. Just a sweaty, fat liar.

I did 60 lb dumbbell farmer walks the other day (only saying because i have a recent frame of reference), and there was no way on earth i could have lifted them up high enough to hand to someone.

You’re not as strong as I am, child. No, shhhh… just set them down sweet summer child, then go home and wait for the knock.

Not to derail the thread or anything, it depends on the exercise. Curling 60lb dumbbells is roided up wrestler stuff, but I can chest press or row 60lb'ers just fine (pressing moreso than rowing).
