I don't disagree about the traditional stuff. Much prefer it. Those old Disney features were gorgeous. I do think the Spider-verse art style is well above the average stuff these days though.

The spiderverse animation is fucking spectacular. The art direction in this new one in particular was fantastic. The color palette is eye melting.

Pretty much. Watch a Fleischer Brother Superman short from the fucking Depression, then watch a Sunbow/Marvel Transformers or G.I. Joe and tell me which one had the better animation.
