There are tweets that pat has made that play both sides you mentioned. When Biden was in charge he was scoffing at the thought of defending yourself from the government and when trump is in charge he says to arm yourself because the army is trumps stormtroopers and nobody is going to help you. Or its just a good tool to have in general and you dont need to have some "civil war" excuse to own/carry one.
