I loved how they did that the entirety of Blade Runner 2049. Wasn't annoying at all and didn't make the movie a chore to get through one bit. I also really love Jared Leto and his part was needed.

Original release was 1985. Then a sequel in 1989.

Decide to revive it 17 years later and proceed to make 3 additional ones in the course of a few years. This will continue for the next 20 years with a new release ever 2 years.

It's like Call of Duty.

It's alright I remember enjoying it but I don't think I'd play it again.

It's not amazing, but I think it's a difficult movie to turn into a video game and make it work, funster. I think they did as well as they could.

So I enjoy the first for what it is. If you look into the original concept that Akroyd had with Belushi, it was in the future and they were Ghostbusters... IN SPACE! But Belushi choked on a speedball, studios weren't gonna pay out that much of a budget for a comedy, and then Ivan Reitman and Harold Ramis joined in to ground the concept to what it became. And again, for an 80's comedy, it's pretty good.

The sequel was shit. The remake was rubbish (Hemsworth gets a genuine pass for his part). The recent follow up that ignored the remake and the sequel was... ok. I barely remember it. I know it had heart but for the life of me, it just wasn't memorable minus the final act.

This new one just screams desperate. Some things are best left in its era (looking at you, Tarzan).

I watched the original Jurassic Park a couple of weekends ago with the brats. Fucking thing holds up great. The combination of top notch animatronic dinosaurs and CGI that's basically a supporting act to the robots suspends your disbelief so much better than CGI alone; where you feel like you're basically just watching a video game.
