- Mr. Tomlinson's feud started after members of the now-defunct Reddit site r/opieandanthony got his Twitter account suspended, causing him to threaten some bored trolls who never heard of him with a libel lawsuit. The trolls responded predictably.
- Mr. Tomlinson has been instructed many times by friends, family, police, and attorneys to stop engaging with his trolls, and that continuing to provoke them will cause him to be trolled even more. Mr. Tomlinson wilfully ignores this advice.
- He would eventually file a defamation suit against 60 anonymous people which was dismissed with Mr. Tomlinson being ordered to pay $34,762.25 for opposing parties' attorney fees.
- He ended up paying $83,736.99 due to his unsuccessful attempts to dodge the court-ordered judgement, for which he faced jail time and contempt charges.
- He also filed 2 frivolous restraining orders against people who had engaged in First Amendment-protected behavior (one for texting him and another for attending his contempt of court hearing), both of which were dismissed.
- Early on in the lawsuit, Mr. Tomlinson vandalized his own motorcycle and submitted a false police report blaming the people he was suing.
- He accidentally sent surveillance video of the alleged vandal to a troll. The individual in the video is very obviously Patrick S. Tomlinson.
- Mr. Tomlinson has never submitted this video footage during any of his many media tours, and desperately tries to scrub it from the internet.
- Mr. Tomlinson claims that the surveillance video was initiated by his "motion-activated" camera, which only collects "30 seconds at a time", despite the video being 32 seconds long and beginning several seconds before the "vandal" enters into the frame.
- On 13 April 2023, the individual responsible for calling the fake emergences (SWATs) to Mr. Tomlinson's house, a SWAT-for-hire dealer named "Torswats", revealed that Mr. Tomlinson ordered the SWATs to his own house because he wanted to get in the news and sue the MPD for money.
- Torswats would repeat these allegations in private chats which were not intended for public view.
- Mr. Tomlinson has gone on multiple news tours since the SWATtings started in order to promote his victimhood brand, utilizing the services of Lenora Claire.
- He also recently sued the MPD for money.

That's where I'm at with it. I think his surface excuse is that he's doing a bit to show how ridiculous this is, but he's still a fetishist getting off on it.
I'd much rather this was a "legitimate" expression and people were forced to confront the logical conclusions of an empathy based approach to gender. I've seen far too many progressives dismiss this out of hand as nothing but lawsuit bait, completely oblivious to the fact that they're engaging in the same "gatekeeping" they've fought to prevent medical and educational professionals from utilizing in similar circumstances. No one has articulated what makes this person "clearly mentally ill" but someone like Charlotte Clymer just born in the wrong body, but it's continually inferred with no push back because it's just easier that way.
The fact that even as they accuse this individual of being a dishonest actor, most people still use the pronouns "she/her" shows how completely out to lunch we are collectively on this, and the event being reduced to a troll will diminish the potential for folks to wake up a bit.
Where I am, you barely see them unless you're near a university or one of the convenience stores their parents own. You never see them out and about just doing shit.

Canada is British Crown turf (Commonwealth)...so when Hongkong's hand-over to China occurred in 97, anyone who could afford it relocated to Canada especially Vancouver for some reason. The gatekeepers have themselves quite a conundrum here. They can't very well accuse this guy of doing a bit (even though it sure seems that way), as then they're basically saying there are degrees of sincerity that have to be weighed before they decided a "transition" is "real". But who gets to decide that? Who's to say what's real and what isn't? They can't do anything here except let him do it, but on the other hand, now he has to follow through with the bit indefinitely, as if he pulls the plug on it, he'll be reviled for "setting the cause back" and making a mockery of the transgendered.
