I'm pretty certain it's another lie in the catalogue of Tomlinson tall tales. In fact I'm pretty sure everything he wrote in that embarrassing blog post were lies.
Knowing his personality, he was probably psychotically enraged when he found out Adrienne wanted to divorce him, rather than being depressed and crying/drinking himself to death as he claimed in that post. I doubt he even really consider the kid at all. He was probably just so enraged that he'd been cucked by his friend that he wanted nothing to do with any of them and told Adrienne as much and she just didn't bother him for any child support payments because she was happy to have the deranged pig out of her life.
