Christ, really??And it was Christopher Guest movie!
A couple years ago I was on a kick of getting physical copies of stuff like stand up / concert DVD’s so I could have them and not have to rely on streaming services having them. I got a used copy of Gilbert’s dirty jokes DVD for 1.25 on Amazon. When it came I opened and noticed it was a signed copy! They didn’t even mention it was signed, just it was 1.25 used copy. I thought that was the most Gilbert thing possible.Gilbert dying did suck. Add that to my list.

Yeah! Explains why Eugene Levy was in it. I’d love to know what happened there because since Farley was dead when it came out Perry didn’t have to do press and as the years go by I’ve barely heard any stories from making it.Christ, really??
Even funnier they had goofed on Gilbert for selling signed copies of it for like an extra 20 bucks on his website. I got it signed for a 1.25Gilbert was one of the realest ones. Him and Artie in the same room anytime had ME:

They did the exact opposite to Artie on MadTV. When he was coming back from the first meltdown into rehab they were super nice to him. One of the big producers sent him on private planes for travel even. Yet none of that mattered as Artie went right back to doing drugs and was fired again. Artie actually took the MadTV job to fund his cocaine habit which was too expensive for him to afford living in Los Angeles. Something like eight thousand people auditioned for MadTV's comic spots and somehow Artie beat all of them despite being a raging addict.Breuer said on Stern that when he hosted SNL after he left that they told him not to talk to Farley at all.
They also had to have Chris Rock on stand by in case Farley couldn’t do that episode. That’s why he’s there for no reason, they had a whole back up show in case Farley wasn’t able to perform. Of course now they all say they wished they had Rock do it as Farley was all kinds of a mess. They did the exact opposite to Artie on MadTV. Farley called Breuer the day before he overdosed and basically begged Breuer to help him and that he was suicidal. But Breuer blew him off. Now years later Breuer tells a different version where he "tried" to help Farley yet magically didn't get in touch with him despite calling "every number" to find him. Farley was so out of control that they had nurses following him 24/7 and SNL was paying comics to follow him around as well to make sure he didn't overdose.
This piece of shit. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0120836/?ref_=nm_flmg_t_59_actSpeaking of Artie, anybody remember the movie he did with David Spade? They actually had him wear a blonde wig - they tried to make him look like Farley.
I did. Granted, it was in 1990 but I was an easily confused boy and I got over it pretty quick. Jim Varney was a hard hit, too.Nobody fucking cried for me.
Also she looks like a present-day Iggy PopI know the show is huge, especially with how it’s still big even though it went off the air 20 years ago but it’s weird how it’s like 3 days since he died and I’m still seeing news about it and people losing it. I was hoping people would bring up that he claimed he created sarcasm and was known to be a pain to work with cause of his long history of drug abuse. Funny how pretty much everyone on the show couldn’t do much outside of the show - I still don’t understand how Jennifer Aniston is this big A-List star when the majority of her movies didn’t make money and weren’t even that good. She’s had many more flops than hits.
Art Bell is a good one. I think there's a 24/7 archive feed on YouTube someone posted a while ago. Might try dig it out for some background noise while I'm fishing tomorrow. Most celebs I don't care I guess Art Bell dying bummed so did Jack Klugman even though he was 90something.
