Is decline in Baseball fandom a sign the country has gotten dumber, or is the game simply boring as fuck?

I love baseball. I always have. I love the game within the game and just how technical it really is when you delve into the finer details.

But everywhere I go these UFC watching, Cardi B listening, Big Mac enjoyers tell me baseball is “mid as fuck” and only a “stupid fuckin’ idiot” would enjoy it. That many people can’t be wrong, right? Am I just a stupid, baseball-watching loser?

Is my perception of baseball wrong? Is it actually a simple and boring game that Basketball slams its sweaty BBC all over?

I'd be into baseball more if there were fewer games. It's really hard to care about specific games when there are so many. I also hate that it's the sport of OCD. The constant spitting, adjusting of hat, glove straps, and various other ticks. At least they recognized how long it takes to see a pitch so they made a pitch clock now. Also making universal rules for both divisions makes sense. Having two different sets of rules was ridiculous. Also too much jewelry on these players, they have to address that, is ludicrous some of the shit these "athletes" wear

I’m not saying the game couldn’t be improved. Everything can be improved.

But I feel like there’s a deeper reason as to why baseball used to be the biggest sport in America and now today the youth go “mane dat shit mid af bruh”.

All in with baseball. Don’t listen to these faggots saying it’s too long. Baseball games are now shorter than football games.
Shorter games (by how much? doubt more than a few minutes) does not equal better or less time wasted. How many minutes of football are played per season vs baseball? Nice 200 game seasons, stupid.

Its harder to get into sports that you never actually played as a kid. Whens the last time you saw a pickup baseball game? If ever?
It used to be a go-to activity for kids but died out

You need at least 18 kids to have a full baseball game, and 18 kids outside playing something together can only really exist in a society where kids are kicked out of the house from morning until sundown with no technology, which is no longer the case.

I still think there are a good percentage of kids playing outside, but the most you’re gonna probably get is 6 or 7 kids that are all friends and in the same gay little group chat. Which is a better number for pickup basketball and touch football which is why they’re the most popular I think

Is it just baseball that’s losing eyes? I remember seeing that the average age for each major sport’s fans was somewhere in the 40s, 50s, or 60s a few years ago. That’s why they’re playing overseas, different nights, etc.

I also believe the vast majority of sports franchises (outside of the NFL) are lucky to break even. Some of that is strategic accounting but many straight up struggle to put asses in seats.

Anymore, I think you’ll see a shift from people being fans to people who root for teams because of easy and widespread sports betting.

The split second that a Big-4 sports franchise went into the red, it would relocate or fold.
Even if they cant put asses in seats, they are printing money with merchandise, TV deals, etc

All sports are too long outside of car racing because there are no breaks in the actual sport. Players only take long breaks between innings or pitching changes so that the networks can run commercials. The NFL is even worse with having stoppages for commercials built into the rules.

Average MLB game in the 1940s took under two hours. And they always threw the first pitch right on time without endless delays. A three hour plus game is the same innings and pitches. Same action. Just now with endless delays for commercials and players wasting time.
