I had a similar experience. It's also when I started having a psychotic temper and when I started swearing openly because I'd say every vile word I knew when I was flipping out. I was a zombie most of the time who'd come home and cry for no reason but if anyone shit talked me or fucked with me at all I'd tweak the fuck out and go nuts on them. My parents were never really on board with it but when I fucked something minor up one night at home that no one was even mad at me for I just spazzed out and headbutted a hollow core door until my dad restrained me and had to pick splinters out of my forehead and that was the end of it. I was like 9. Had to go to school the next day and explain to anyone who asked that my head was scraped up from headbutting a door and I don't really know why I did it.
I got worse with the crazy shit the next year even though I wasn't on the Ritalin or whatever anymore because I learned I could intimidate the fuck out of people and I had a cunt teacher who loved winding me up and watching me destroy shit and hurting myself in the process.

It is wildly overdiagnosed and used as an excuse by retarded people to keep being retarded but it definitely exists. A few people in my family have it and it essentially makes them unable to get anywhere on time, unable to tell a story or stick to a single subject consistently, it turns uppers into downers, and makes people lose their shit (like their stuff, their things) constantly. They're just like these swirling Tazmanian devils of retardation who are incapable of focusing or adhering to any sort of schedule. I can empathize to a degree but being a junky I'm expected to work on myself and my afflictions to function in society and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the same of them. I don't think 60% of the people formally diagnosed actually have it but if you've ever met someone with it you know the signs and you'll know the shit is real. I'm always hyper-aware of my surroundings, what I have on me, and ensuring I'm not losing anything. I always know exactly how much money I have. I never lose my stuff. I'm always early to things. People with ADHD don't have that shit in their brain that makes them concerned with that.

I was talking to this Puerto Rican chick and she would switch subjects mid sentence, not sure if that was ADHD or just being Puerto Rican though

Exactly. Got diagnosed in junior high because the faggot school told my parents I was "bored in class." Gee, ya think? The piece of shit drug pusher psychiatrist was a Christ-killer and the company that produces Adderall is Teva Pharmaceuticals, an Israeli outfit. Must be a coincidence, right? I got better grades, but who gives a shit? Definitely fucked me up and set me on a bad path. I think even after getting off of it, I still had part of my personality and disposition changed for the worse.
Is it real? Not really. It's just a combination of a lack of discipline, short attention span, being overstimulated, having a million things competing for your attention, and probably the byproduct of a poor diet. These are all things that can be overcome with effort and lifestyle changes. All that "chemical imbalance" stuff is a crock of shit; just completely unfalsifiable claims where they don't even have a baseline to establish what optimal levels are. Same scam the Sacklers and every other pharmaceutical company pulls.
