They're the prototypical "vicarious internet friends". They like BEER and being silly, that's what I like too! They're schlubs, like me! They don't bend the knee to no wokies, no sir! They don't like mainstream SCHLOCK! (used incorrectly, every time), they like true KINO! (that's coolguy speak for a good movie!)
They're like the ideal form of "the coolest version of the Regular Joe" for people who aren't neurotypical enough to understand that's not necessarily a "personality type", that's just being not a complete retard. Therefore, they base their entire personality and mannerisms off those guys, as they are complete retards.
Reading the Chris Benoit article like 6 hours after the news broke. Prime Dramatica used to be the ultimate source for happenings.
I'd wait a day or two for happenings. There were some pretty talented people on that site.
I love this clip because they’re both accusing each other of being a racist and I don’t understand the reasoning on either side:

If that's what you think of them then I can only assume you've never watched any of their videos. They shit on basically all of that and ignore 99% of the releases that fall under those categories.
Mike and Rich haven't 'become' obsessed with Star Trek and Star Wars, they always have been big embarrassing nerds for those products. None of which should be a surprise if you watched their early stuff. Those Plinkett reviews are probably 15 hours critiquing all those films. They skip over almost all the Marvel movies because they dont find them interesting. The last Marvel movie RLM reviewed was a year ago and that's only because they have a boner for James Gunn.
RLM is good background listening. I find their opinions more genuine than most internet reviewers. They don't care about clout or clicks like rushing out to shit on bad movies because what's more to say. Plus I enjoy Mike shitting on Rich constantly. It's pretty much friend simulator.
So so so just because I like RLM, that makes me a Brony? Well guilty as charged. How else am I supposed to maintain semen retention?
I tried watching a few of their videos and the dry sarcastic humor gives off twitter/reddit vibes to me. Not good.
