He’s used the insurance sales job that he still does to talk about health care policy and indeed even medicine. He’s cited his mother’s role of guidance counselor at a high school as why he can diagnose mental illness.
To be fair, he recently doesn’t even really try to explain why he knows everything anymore, at least not publicly. He just lectures without sources or credentials.
