Let’s speculate on his thought processes.
It all made sense to me if he wasn’t actually Down syndrome guy, but he is.
Did he actually enjoy the internet “notoriety” enough to risk the life he built? I cannot think of any other plausible reason to behave how he did.

Your mistake is considering him a somewhat normal person acting strangely. Instead, consider him as our own version of Pat: Egomaniacal, thin-skinned, vengeful, and clout chasing. He fantasizes that he's so talented he should be universally beloved, that he's smarter than the average 'rascal', and that he's a natural comedian. His risk-taking and addiction to this place is about to or could become a major detriment to his wife and career and yet he still can't and won't leave. He's still here and is (or will be) posting under an alt even if he loses everything.

If this was his first move the majority of this would have been avoided. He just can't leave it alone. Other than the lappening this is my favorite Pat photo/tweet. Just the look of impatience on Carrie, the incredulous look on the guy in the background, and Pat just beaming like he's getting a great victory paying 5k to get his dumb twitter account back. It's such a wonderful dissonance of human emotions.
