I generally just buy something in cash for 15k every 10 years and maintain it well. I don’t care about cars, as long as it isn’t an endless money pit and it gets me where I need to be comfortably I couldn’t give a fuck what car it is.

I don’t want an electric one though, I’d be so neurotic about charging it and planning journeys, and they’re so expensive and inconvenient to repair.

I would but then I'd have to wire an outlet outside. I live in the county and don't need inspections so I would do a half-assed job with the minimum gauge extension cord in the attic that would never pass inspection when I go to sell. Where I work there's no charging and I'm not going to sit at some hotel parking lot to charge it. Best I could do is hybrid but there's no point when the ones I looked at get like 30 miles on battery.

Just run an extension cord from the garage, stupid.

I just bought a new white VW Golf R a few weeks ago. My first brand new car and my first car with this much technology. Traded in my jeep. Very fun little car so far. 315 hp, 300 ft lbs of torque in a little AWD hatchback, it’s fast and fun. Way more “luxuries” than any other car I’ve had too. Im happy with the purchase.

Looking to go get the windows tinted today. Never had tints before but I think they look good on a white car.
