O&A then vs now - A retrospective

Opie - then C; now A+
Mostly for how he got fired and being a heterosexual. In retrospect, His frat boy douchebag laugh speaks to who he is at his core- someone who loves punching down.

Anthony - then A; now F+
His whole “angry working class guy who made it big” gimmick falls flat when you objectively assess that he married his brothers sloppy seconds, is afraid of confrontation, likes bony boyish-bodied women, and shoves stuff in his ass. He’s not even good at running a company in an industry he worked in for 20 years. He’s a scared, homosexual idiot who can do good impressions as long as you like movies from the 70s.

Jim Norton - then D-; now D-
Jims desperation really comes through in retrospect because he always sucked, which was noticeable even back then. Someone here said the CEO of XM or whatever wanted to replace him with Patrice because he’s barely a step above invisible. Fine if he’s there, fine if he’s not. It doesn’t much matter one way or the other because he adds nothing. The coolest thing about Norton is the tranny shamelessly spending all of his money.

Danny - then D+; now D
Hard to say you’re better in retrospect when you combatively post here instead of just joining in on the gay circle jerk. Just calm the fuck down Danny. Jesus Christ

Master Po - then C; now A+
Incompetent fraud conning a room full of wimps into being an alpha male. He had no sense of humor but his natural buffoonery makes him funnier than Jim Norton by miles.

I know I’m missing others so don’t bother pointing that out.
So do you only know o&a characters from threads made about them here? Did you even LISTEN? Classic example of a newfag Im talking about.

Several of my plants are in that area. NJ is the worst. Philly sucks and needs a race riot and purge.

The DMAN never noticed that Washington, Baltimore, Philly, NYC, New Haven, Providence, and Boston were all in a straight line like that, until seeing this photo.

Patrice O'Neal + Anthony Cumia show, and they just riff and get into it and have race fights for decades would have DESTROYED Stern, and paradigm shifted entertainment for a century with Danny Ross and Erock. That's all you needed to create broadcasting magic that would have been as timeless as idk "The Three Stooges"? OnA doesn't have that, even Stern, but Stern at least was number1 and the benchmark.

Naw, You're being a Satellite Baby here.

O&A in the BP age (before Patrice) already had the Dumb and Dumber, Beavis & butt-Head vibe going for it.

Patrice fit into the show because the show was already well-defined. Complete morons who were smart enough to know how stupid they were, trying to outdo each other. The most negative form of media in modern history.

Patrice holds up, but at the time he was annoying.

In retrospect, His frat boy douchebag laugh speaks to who he is at his core- someone who loves punching down.

Opie's laugh was pure evil. He would chuckle like a villain at the most heinous thing, or when he knew what someone was alluding to, or when he saw something BAD coming down the pike that nobody else saw. There was a moment during the O&A interview on Bill O'Reilly in 2001/2002 where Bill asks some dopey question to scare them, and Opie just laughs in his face knowing where Anthony was going to take the conversation.

30% of all radios in the greater Cleveland area were tuned in to O&A during the WNEW era. You NY fags were barely fans.
It was close to 40% when they were fired from WNEW which was hilarious. Practically half of the radios in Cleveland had O&A on them on all day every day. And most of their markets were like this. With them having the highest time spent listening per listener of any radio show in the U.S. including sports broadcasts. It was why they didn't need to do Sex for Sam as some big stunt to get famous......they were already the biggest comedy radio show in history at that point.

When they did the Sex for Sam that got them fired it was actually Sex for Sam 3. They had already done it twice before and not been fired and it was a normal bit for them. They got suspended for the first one and Psycho Mark was fired with his last word's famously on air being "your mom's box". But the second one was done without much issue and they figured that the third one would be the same. It was just a normal day for them and not a show where they imagined that they would be fired when they had 30 and 40 shares in so many markets which was unheard of in radio. If you worked in an O&A market in any job like construction, cops, firefighting, or any job that had a radio that the employees listened to it was likely tuned into O&A.

When they got fired all the shows run by faggots like Maxwell or Jim Phillips accused them of doing Sam for Sex on purpose to get fired or make a scene in the news. But it was literally just a normal show that they thought would be glossed over by the end of next week just like any other random O&A show.
