If you don't like Weird Al, you're a fucking dick.

We'll see if you're all still singing his praises after that Daniel Radcliffe movie comes out and Weird Al becomes the new Bob Ross.

Weird Al was fine for his initial era -- a goofy looking accordion geek who took the MTV generation down a peg by mocking their beloved music videos -- but his resurgence during hip-hop's reign really highlighted how corny and tedious his act is. The nostalgia based fawning the internet does over him only makes it worse.

If he was just a name that someone goes, "hey, remember Weird Al?" I'd be inclined to say, "yeah, he was pretty funny" but since he's still milking it forty years later I'm not going to cheer him on now that's entering the "brand" phase of his career.
