Agree and disagree.It wouldn't be good. Most of the comedians wouldn't be part of it mainly due to Ant's retardation. O&A depended a lot on their guests. It is one of the most impressive things about RnF their ability to generate content without needing people from outside.
It wouldn't be good but not because they couldn't get good enough comic guests.
The only talent they ever had was doing The Opie & Antony Show on radio. Taken out of that context they are totally lost. In some ways O&A was more like a reality soap opera about a radio show than an actual bona fide talk show. By degenerates, for degenerates.
The show is dead, they aren't big shot renegade radio stars but sad humiliated failures and their 20 year catalogue of inside jokes and twisting storylines smells funny after years of brutal personal attacks. If they started a podcast, at best it would be like when Spinal Tap were doing cringey interviews in character when they were old and fat, trying to recreate the old magic.
