If they are it’s not formally. Also if that was the case they would have jumped in at $17kI wonder if SFWA is actually on the hook for this since they funded the debacle. It could be what Pat's hinting at saying debt was never on the table.
How about you, fella?!Someone post the WI case updates @SpaceEdge remarked upon
Maybe? But the judgment wasn’t against them, it was against Patrick if I’m not mistaken. I think they would have to step in out of the kindness of their hearts to bail him out and they would’ve done that thousands of dollars in interest ago is my guess. Unless they’re as dumb as him.I wonder if SFWA is actually on the hook for this since they funded the debacle. It could be what Pat's hinting at saying debt was never on the table.
The rules for the fund specifically note they aren’t liable for any judgments against the case they fund.Maybe? But the judgment wasn’t against them, it was against Patrick if I’m not mistaken. I know an English guy and he said that people funding shit lawsuits in his country can be forced to pay the costs of the winning side. Somebody tried it on the prime minister and there was talk that he could legally make anybody who donated on patreon, or the main guy, pay the full amount when the case was dismissed for being the shit of a faggot. It might be different in the United States and it's pigger's name on the papers anyway, but that might explain why nambla IN SPACE didn't want to admit they had funded pigger's assault on the constitution.I wonder if SFWA is actually on the hook for this since they funded the debacle.
