Windy City Heat!

From back before Jimmy Kimmel became a faggot and Adam Carolla became a right wing grifter. I’ve shown every gf I’ve ever had since outta hs this movie and they’ve all fuckin hated it because women are retards. It really holds up and it’s free on YouTube.

You might be the first person I’ve ever seen reference this show. It’s criminal how underrated it is

Also:

Top Boy (Netflix)
Gangs of London (Amazon)
Slow horses (apple tv)
Jury duty (freevee)
It’s so damn funny but if you try to sell it as a spy thriller that’s funny then it sounds stupid. The writing is great and red from that 70s show rules in it.

Have you ever heard of a movie called the matrix? It's about how the world isn't really the world but an illusion. Keanu Reeves is in it.

Watch all the Benson & Moorehead stuff. They made The Endless. It's all really good and it all ties together. Also, everything Jeremy Gardner has done is good.
Seriously, I just watched Synchronic last night. If you've seen one Benson & Moorehead movie and liked it, you might as well watch all of them because they're all good and they're basically each a puzzle piece in a bigger story.

Give Black Mirror Bandersnatch a rewatch. I think it's a super underappreciated piece of art, and it does fail at parts, but it doesn't outweigh the good. Lots of parallels with Dark City.

I watched Waiting For Guffman last night and that is a funny one. Tubi has a lot of good stuff but it takes some searching
I think Tubi is hands down the best streaming service considering it's free. I hate that the actual search feature doesn't work for me at all though. At least on Xbox. Very annoying. There's shit that I know is on there that I want to watch but I never feel like scrolling through obscure titles for half an hour to maybe find it.

All of Chris Guest's films are excellent. A Mighty Wind is his weakest but it's still kinda sweet.

I like my schlock, but I like it with class. The Incredible Shrinking Man, This Island Earth, Flight to Mars, Colossus of New York, The Monolith Monsters, Zombies of Mora Tau - you have to be in the right mood for it, but I love this shit.

If you're a stickler for quality, though, you can never go wrong with The Thin Man. Any of them, but especially the first.

I'd say For Your Consideration is the weakest. I remember liking A Mighty Wind a lot but I remember almost nothing from it except for the Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara parts. Where with Spinal Tap and Best In Show I remember everything.

I agree, the search feature is shit which sucks because they have a lot of great 70s / 80s / 90s movies and a majority are in HD or even better picture quality. Tubi I’ve been able to see older movies I’ve always read / heard about and even discover the lesser known films from actors (recently I watched three independent films that had John C Reilly etc)

Don’t know if you use IMDB but they have a great feature of showing you which streaming services a movie is on, that’s been real helpful
looking up older movies and being able to watch them.
