Why are people all of a sudden lumping NYC into this shit? Is this some narrative people are trying? NYC murder rates are low, like 5 or 6 per 100,000 people. And that's even with it doubling over the last 5 or so years. If you're trying to make the point that cities are not safe, NYC is one of the last places you should be using to make that point. Kansas City, Baltimore, St Louis, etc are like 30+ murders per 100,000 people.

Also, contrast NYC with, oh, I don't know... Milwaukee, Wisconsin and its 32.4 per capita murder rate for some real fireworks.

I consider crimes committed with guns as part of the calculus (35% increase at this time last year in robbery and such)-- NYC is a shithole. Sorry, bud.

As a non-American who has never been to Milwaukee (and never will - why would any foreign tourist go somewhere like that) I wasn't aware of what a nog infested shithole it is.
