ReVanced works incredibly well for portable devices. Runs on a patched version of the official apk so seems to evade all current nonsense and gives you a lot of customisation choices. Adblocker seems to be still doing the job for me but i get a 5s blank screen where the ad should be until it cuts to the video, I'll look at switching once they start fucking with my region. On my smart tv they're running ads between literally every video now. It's unusable.

I've got Brave browser with Ublock and ABP on and I was getting the stupid "adblockers are not allowed" message for a few days but those stopped and I haven't been getting anymore.

I'm using the OG AdBlocker and haven't gotten shit. Every few videos the screen will be black and the runtime of that video is 15 seconds, like it's trying to play an ad, but goes away after like 5 seconds and the video plays like normal.

I actually assumed this was the most popular ad blocker by far, and people are asking me how the hell I've been able to get around the warning. I haven't seen it once.

Yeah I don't ever log in out of habit. NewPipe on the phone is also a good workaround if you want to save subscriptions, playlists, favorites, ad free, play audio with screen off, etc.

I've been using brave exclusively for years for this exact reason and thinking of switching back to Firefox + ABP due to numerous technical problems with brave and now its inability to block YouTube ads
