Don't forget Canada, they still recognize the British monarchy, and of course we fought two wars where we invaded them. He's a knowitall dipshit on everything, but he usually gets away with it because he's quoting someone else who does actually know. When it comes to history he's totally out of his element, because there's really no talking points he can latch onto, and he has no ability to connect events.
