Mayor Cavalier Johnson [Ed.: fucking lol) provided an update Thursday afternoon, saying that an investigation has not yet uncovered any evidence of shots fired. They believe the noise could have been a door slamming.
"I think that someone was terminated and must have been disappointed by that news, and perhaps slammed a door one or multiple times and that created a loud noise that perhaps sounded like gunfire," Johnson told reporters during a media briefing on the incident.

Love Jackie going the extra mile. Another thing to note is that it's false advertising. "Entire home in Milwaukee". Not so. It's half of a home and the owner is in the other half farting into his couch and spying on the guests. If I ever rented an Airbnb advertised as an "entire home" only to find something akin to the hovel's situation, I would be livid and it'd be an immediate one star review. "Full apartment" is the absolute best he could put on that.
In Airbnb context, it’s accurate because there are psychos who offer bedrooms and even couches and psychos who rent from them.
Airbnb must not get involved in any safety or liability type things. There's no inspection or anything on the places people list on their site and when I checked what was available in the city where I live I can see why. There are places for rent in some of the most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods the city has to offer.
This room is in Englewood. It's not the worst neighborhood in the city but it's close. If there was any chance Airbnb could be held liable for what happens to people who rent places from their site there is no way in hell they'd allow anyone anywhere near this place. I did think this was funny though.
If reviewing shitty airbnb listings isn't a YouTube series it should be.
