Three fucking times today the police helicopter has been flying around my neighborhood due to niggers doing nigger things that they do. I’m sick and fucking tired of sitting around waiting to be a victim. Obviously moving away is the easy answer but I’d hate to give up on our house that we’ve spent time and money on and I don’t love the idea of living in a boring suburb and eating chick fil a or Lonestar steakhouse every weekendand being far away from sporting events and concerts that I can walk to right now. Plus the wife and I have great commutes and I’d rather kill myself than sit in traffic for an hour every morning and evening.

So my only other alternative is to get a gun. Does that make fucking sense or am I just more likely to get killed if I try to draw on someone who wants to rob me? It seems crazy to walk my dog while strapped but I don’t know what else the fuck to do.

I’ve never touched a gun in my life so I don’t even know where to begin. I assume I’ve got to take classes and practice on a range or some shit. Is this really fucking dumb or am I on the right track? Dead radio show forum posters would never lead me astray.

Depends what state. And what city/neighborhood. And you better be damned sure you can legally draw on someone or not, or youre still likely to do 10/20 years for it. I know in my closest city you cant brandish for a robbery, only if your life is in danger without a shadow of a doubt and you NEED to shoot them, you can draw. You basically need to see them drawing their deadly weapon on you for god sake.

But carrying a little .380 or 9mm or something that is small enough its not cumbersome and fits in your jacket pocket. Its not like youll be carrying a giant .45 revolver off your hip everytime you take the dog for a walk. After a while you get used to grabbing it on the way out like your keys, wallet and celllphone.

Do you have a good home security system? Something that shouts "BACK OFF! THIS ISN'T YOUR SHOW!" when an intruder is detected? I'm all for arming yourself, definitely do that and get comfortable, but avoiding the need to donate lead to at-risk youth in the first place is a good Plan A.

I live in Capitol Hill, DC so that complicates things greatly. But yes you can get a CCP here.

I do have a security system but it probably doesn’t matter because the cops, prosecutors, and city council doesn’t give a fuck about the white devil who caused all their problems.

IMO you should atleast have one to defend yourself while you're at home. That doesn't mean you need to carry it regularly or become a gun guy. Just follow your local laws and use common sense and you'll be fine. I'm not sure how hard it is to get a handgun in DC, most places you dont need a CCW to purchase one.
